The Verdi union wants to implement the announced strikes in the private bus industry in Rhineland-Palatinate next week. The industrial action is to begin early Monday morning (June 7th, 3.00:XNUMX a.m.), as Verdi announced on Thursday. The end should be the following Sunday evening. Large parts of the country are said to be affected, including parts of school traffic. Although a satisfactory solution was found after an exploratory discussion, this was then withdrawn by the Association of Employers' Associations of the Rhineland-Palatinate Transport Industry (VAV), explained Verdi.
The union had also organized warning strikes in the conflict. Among other things, it demands payment for idle times and interruptions in travel time. The VAV could not initially be reached for a statement on Thursday. So far, in the conflict, she had pointed to the compensation promised by the state for the increases in the collective bargaining agreement last summer, which had not yet occurred.
