Bundestag election: CSU politician Bär wants Habeck to be the Greens' candidate for chancellor

The CSU politician Dorothee Bear hopes on Robert Habeck as Chancellor candidate of the Greens. "Politically, I would like it to be Robert Habeck," said Bär on Wednesday evening SPIEGEL talk »Top talk«. The Minister of State in the Chancellery for Digitization said: "Because it will then be even easier to win the election." Bär said that she personally liked Annalena Baerbock and would allow her to run. Politically, however, it looks different.

"I don't think either of us finds it difficult to say: You're the right one," Baerbock said at last in conversation with SPIEGEL. A possible waiver of the candidacy for chancellor in favor of her party colleague would still be "in the end a little stab in the heart."
