NEW YORK (dpa-AFX) - Wall Street shook off the price losses of the past few days on Friday. At the reduced price level, investors took more courageously, especially with the recently neglected standard values. The recently better technology stocks lagged behind the rally.
The leading New York index Dow Jones Industrial rose by 1,30 percent to 34 points, with which it saved itself moderately with 870,16 percent on a weekly basis. It came closer than ever in the past few weeks to its record high, which came from May at 0,2 points.
The S&P 500 followed the Dow on Friday by 1,13 percent to 4369,55 points, making it the only major US index to set a new record. The technology-heavy selection index Nasdaq 100 achieved 14 points, an increase of 826,09 percent.
